Race day parking and shuttle
Public transportation, biking or rideshare services are the most convenient way to access Garfield Park. If you plan to drive, please note legal street parking is available. We encourage you to review event street closures and obey all posted signs regarding permitting and other parking regulations.
A shuttle service and parking will be available for free at the Halsted/Taylor Parking Structure, located on the campus of University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). Please note that the parking structure will experience congestion, particularly prior to the event. If you plan to park in the parking structure, we recommend arriving no later than 45 minutes prior to your desired arrival time in Garfield Park. You may also park elsewhere and still utilize the shuttle service to access Garfield Park.
The UIC parking structure has a north entrance (763 W. Polk Street) and a south entrance (760 W. Taylor Street). If you are approaching the parking structure from the north using southbound I-90, you will enter the garage through the south entrance, located on Taylor Street. If you are approaching the parking structure from any other direction, you will enter the garage through the north entrance, located on Polk Street.
Upon arrival, follow parking attendant instructions and do not stop at the ticket booth. Parking vouchers for exit will be provided upon return shuttle trips to exit the parking structure.
Shuttle service will operate every 20 minutes from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. The first shuttle is anticipated to leave UIC from Halsted Street, adjacent to the UIC parking structure, around 5:15 a.m. and the final shuttle will leave Garfield Park at 11:45 a.m.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From the north/O’Hare Airport: Take the Kennedy Expressway (I-90 East). Continue on the Kennedy to the Dan Ryan (I-90/94 East). Exit at Taylor Street. Turn right (west) and travel one-half block to the south entrance of the Halsted/Taylor Parking Structure (760 W. Taylor).
From the west: Take the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290 East) and exit at 24A (Racine Avenue). Turn right (south) onto Racine. Turn left (east) onto Harrison and proceed to Halsted. Turn right (south) and go one block. Turn left (east) onto Polk Street and continue to the north entrance of the Halsted/Taylor Parking Structure (763 W. Polk Street).
From the east: Take Harrison Street west to Halsted Street and turn (left) south onto Halsted Street. Turn left (east) onto Polk Street and continue to the north entrance of the Halsted/Taylor Parking Structure (763 W. Polk Street).
From the south: Take the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90/I-94 West) and exit at 52B (Roosevelt Road/Taylor Street). Turn left (west) on Roosevelt Road. Turn right (north) on Halsted Street. Turn right (east) onto Polk Street and continue to the north entrance of the Halsted/Taylor Parking Structure (763 W. Polk Street).
