REIMAGINE THE RUN
The Bank of America Chicago 13.1 offers runners a unique experience, bringing a world-class half marathon to the neighborhoods of Chicago’s West Side. The 13.1-mile course weaves through the historic parks and boulevards of the West Side, starting and finishing in Garfield Park with scenic loops through Humboldt and Douglass Parks.

PARTICIPANT GUIDE
The Bank of America Chicago 13.1 Participant Guide includes all the information participants need to have a great race weekend experience. The guide will serve as a step-by-step manual to assist participants during race week, from Packet Pick-up to race day in Garfield Park. Inside, you will find schedules, polices and detailed information on the weekend’s events.
HOTEL INFORMATION
The official housing partner of the Bank of America Chicago 13.1 is TEAMINN, which will offer access to room blocks at hotels in the area. If you have any questions regarding reservations booked through TEAMINN, please email support@myteaminn.com or call 800.233.8326
TRAINING
The secret to running well is consistency, so Nike and the Bank of America Chicago 13.1 have partnered to give you a 14-week training blueprint that will help the best version of you reach the starting line. Click here to access the interactive training program on your mobile device. You’ll need the Nike Run Club App to unlock focus areas and Guided Runs by some of the best coaches in the world, so be sure to download the app from the App Store.

PACKET PICK-UP
Participant Packet Pick-up will take place on Friday, June 4, 2027 (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and Saturday, June 5, 2027 (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.). You must attend Participant Packet Pick-up to pick up your participant packet, participant bag, Nike participant shirt and any pre-purchased beer tickets (if applicable). If you cannot pick up your packet, someone can pick up your packet on your behalf by presenting a copy of your Packet Pick-up ticket.
Runners who sign up and pay for race day Packet Pick-up can pick up their race materials starting at 5:30 a.m. on race day. Questions about race day Packet Pick-up can be sent to office@chicago13point1.com.
Participants 21 years or older will receive a beer ticket attached to their bib number that can be redeemed for one beer. Please note that the beer ticket attached to your bib is non-transferrable.
You must be 21 years or older with a valid ID to purchase and/or consume alcoholic beverages at the Bank of America Chicago 13.1 race weekend.
TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING

CHICAGO TRANSIT AUTHORITY
The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) offers an economical and convenient way to check out all Chicago has to offer. Get to and from the race to most anywhere in Chicagoland for just $5. Use the Ventra app or simply tap-to-pay using Apple Pay, Google Wallet or a credit card with contactless pay.
Take CTA race weekend! The Roosevelt Collection is accessible via the Roosevelt Red/Green/Orange Line Station, the #12 bus or the #29 bus. Garfield Park is accessible via the Conservatory-Central Park Green Line station, the Pulaski-Congress Blue Line Station or the #20 and #126 buses. DIVVY
Choose a Divvy bike or scooter for a convenient and environmentally-friendly way to reach event activities race weekend.

RIDESHARE
Participants utilizing rideshare to access Garfield Park on race day will be dropped off at a designated location. Information teams and directional signage will help guide event attendees to the start line and Race Day Festival area.

RACE DAY PARKING AND SHUTTLE
A shuttle service and parking will be available. More information on the shuttle service and parking will be available in advance of race day.
START CORRALS
The Bank of America Chicago 13.1 assigns runners to a start corral based on the expected pace per mile and finish time provided on their applications. Additional information about start corrals will be available in advance of the 2027 event.
PACE TEAM
The Bank of America Chicago 13.1 pace team is comprised of marathon and half marathon veterans who help others achieve their performance goals.
COURSE
Tackle a half marathon through the historic parks and boulevards of Chicago’s West Side! The Bank of America Chicago 13.1 course will weave through vibrant and culturally diverse neighborhoods, starting and finishing in Garfield Park.
RACE DAY FESTIVAL
Celebrate your accomplishment at the Race Day Festival! The Bank of America Chicago 13.1 Race Day Festival takes place in Garfield Park immediately following the half marathon from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

LOST AND FOUND
Lost and found items collected throughout race weekend will be available for pickup at information tents. If you are looking for an item that was lost, please ask an information volunteer for instructions on how to claim your item. Following the event, items can be reclaimed through our Lost and found platform. Items reclaimed post-event may be shipped to individuals for a shipping fee.

RACE DAY LACTATION SPACES
Breastfeeding parents attending the Bank of America Chicago 13.1 will have a designated place in Garfield Park to pump or nurse on race day. Those interested in using the spaces will have access to a semi-private tented facility, a water source or a portable hand-washing station and a power source.
Staff will be onsite at each location to assist those interested in using the space on a first-come first-served basis. Please note, the event will not store or transport equipment.

AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE SERVICES
Sign language interpreters will be available race weekend to assist participants who may need to utilize their service. More information on ASL interpretation services will be available in advance of race day.

INFORMATION TENTS
Information volunteers will be available on race day to assist runners and spectators with general event questions including runner amenities, event maps and festival entertainment.

The Bank of America Chicago Distance Series is made up of Chicago’s premier racing portfolio: the Shamrock Shuffle 8K Run, Chicago 13.1 and Chicago Marathon. The three unique races span the outdoor running season and celebrate the vibrant and diverse nature of our local and global running communities.
Individuals who finish all 2026 events will receive a unique Bank of America Chicago Distance Series medal and a guaranteed entry into the 2027 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
